Establishing a first inventory of possible welfare issues

For each stage of the production chain, every cluster group identified all possible welfare issues. An example of the potential issues at the broiler growing stage, identified within the poultrymeat cluster, can be viewed by clicking here.

This first list of all potential welfare issues, as it resulted from the discussions amongst the experts in the cluster groups, amounted to almost 400. The potential issues were linked to various stages in the production chain.

This process resulted in the following numbers of potential welfare issues in the various product clusters:
